In this breath of fire breathing exercise for anger management, guided energized breathwork meditation, you’ll use the power of your breath to release negative emotions—whatever they may be (including hurt, sadness, anger, resentment, pain, suffering, anxiety, frustration, or fears from the past).

We are in a time of great upheaval, or rather, a “great awakening.” And this “great awakening” can’t happen without bringing our shadows, negative fears, and all of our emotions into the light.

Many people think that spiritual awakening is just blissed-out, peaceful meditation. And, right now, many people are waking up, and it feels like things have to worsen before they get better.

The truth? In reality, spiritual awakening and healing are about taking a hard, honest look at ourselves in the mirror. Then, with conscious awareness, releasing negative emotions from the past that no longer serve your higher good.

First, you’ll move the energy up from your creative center into the seat of your soul, your heart center. Next, you’ll move the energy up through your throat chakra to your third eye. And finally, out your crown chakra to the universe to transmute those emotions.

  • It will give you a dose of the gamma brainwave frequency to download high-end moments of inspiration.
  • It will also help you physically strengthen your body through intermittent hypoxia to provide you with a more robust, healthier nervous system.
  • And it will give you a burst of positive energy to release negative emotions and energy.

Fire Breathing Exercise for Anger Management (Guided Energized Breathwork Meditation) by Jason Samadhi, Certified SOMA Breath® Breathwork Instructor

First, make sure you are comfortable either sitting or lying down on your back. Second, make sure you are in a safe space where you will not be interrupted or disturbed.

Next, you’ll need to correct your breathing. Put your left hand on your belly, right hand on your chest. Observe which hand rises when you breathe in.

Take a deep full breath of air in through your nose, and then breathing slowly out through your mouth. You’ll breathe without pauses between the inhale and the exhale).

If your right hand rises, it means you’re breathing into your chest. For this, you want to be breathing fully into your belly, letting your stomach expand like a balloon.

You’ll breath thirty percent into your stomach, sixty percent into your chest, and ten percent into your shoulders—this is called a complete “yogi” breath.

After the cleansing “yogi” breaths, I’ll instruct you on using the Pranayama and Kumbhaka breathing techniques you’ll use during this guided breathwork meditation.
