Maybe you’ve found yourself staring down a path of enlightenment, a spiritual awakening. And suddenly, out of nowhere, you see some ugly, scary, and even challenging fears and limiting beliefs about yourself you weren’t expecting to see along the way.
Limiting beliefs are those thoughts all of us have that hold us back from realizing our true potential. Thoughts like, “no one cares about what I think, how I feel, or what I care about?” Or, “I’m not worth. I’m not good enough.” Sound familiar?
Well, one thing I can tell you for sure is that those limiting beliefs you think to yourself, they are lies. They are NOT true!
The perfect way for you to show up in the world and give back to the universe is just by being YOU!
You ARE beautiful just the way you are. Your voice does matter. And, you CAN be the change you want to see in the world!
All you gotta do is believe in you, right?! Easier said than done, I know.
I know this because I struggle with my own limiting beliefs every single day. Some days are worse than others, it can be challenging for me to overcome my limiting beliefs about myself.
During my journey, I’ve come up against plenty of my limiting beliefs over and over again. I’m not completely healed. But, I have come to a place in my life where I know, with some confidence, that my voice does matter and I can make a difference.
Knowing I am good enough, doing the best I can with my gifts, and I can make a difference. Some days, that is enough.
The same is true for you!
So, maybe you’re here because this resonates with you? Well, since you’re here, I want to tell you something.
As long as you hold on to those fears and limiting beliefs, they will only continue to hold your back from realizing your full potential.
Marian Williamson once said, it’s not that we are afraid we are weak; it’s that we are afraid we are great beyond measure. That we are capable of achieving anything we set our hearts and minds too.
Sometimes we don’t want to deal with our fears because we’re afraid of what we’ll see. Maybe the truth isn’t so ugly after all?!
So, I challenge you. address your fears and limiting beliefs. Acknowledge them. Honor them. Let them exist. You may just surprise yourself!
Let your fears, your shadows, your darkness, resonate with your light—yin and yang. They are as much a part of you as your joy and happiness.
Embrace them. ’cause if you don’t address them, stuffing them down deeper, you’re only hurting yourself.
Fortunately, when you do, you’ve already taken the first step!
Ride with the fears, if you have to, they’re just pointing you in the right direction. Giving yourself permission to face your fears is the first step, and the hardest one. The first step is also in the direction of inspired action.
And, down the road, when you do come up against your limiting beliefs again, you’ll recognize them. Address them and say, “oh, hello, there you are again. I see you!” Acknowledge them. And then, let them go.
